HAPPY NEW YEAR, FRIENDS!
I hope this e-mail finds you all doing well - maybe recovering after a busy Christmas season! I feel like I have been thoroughly enjoying being off-routine the week in-between Christmas and New Years, (a bit of cozy-chaos you might call it!) but now I'm ready to get back to more of a schedule. How about you?!
This morning my children very reluctantly helped me take down our ornaments off our tree, and throughout the day I've been removing garlands that are dropping pine needles all across my floor and packing away all the various Christmas decorations. I love decorating for Christmas, but I also love the de-cluttering of January where I think most people also feel this innate desire to purge and get rid of things.
I re-set our homeschool room for beginning school again tomorrow, although we will do it somewhat leisurely - maybe one or two subjects and not tackling everything just yet. We'll save that for next week!
Here's to a fresh start!
I love January and New Years. It does feel like a clean slate. I don't really do New Year's resolutions, per se, but I always do think of a few things I'd like to do better this year. One of them is making sure I am in the Word of God daily, with NO exceptions - The Daily Audio Bible has been helpful with this for me; and the other is being better at meal planning. I'd love to hear what some of you want to be better about in this coming year!

Our Favorite Christmas Gifts
This year for Christmas I really wanted to focus on getting the kids USEFUL gifts - not just things that will end up in a pile somewhere in our attic - just creating more clutter! Some of our favorite gifts were new trail bikes for the kids, a Mini Yoto Player, and a Glorilight.
Some of my personal favorite things this year were this waffle maker that doesn't put harmful chemicals into your food - I replaced my old one. This one is awesome because it's sleek, looks nice and stores upright. It comes in a few nice colors.
I switched over from my usual makeup routine to using Toups and Co. Organic Makeup and I couldn't be happier knowing there's good things going into my skin now! I highly recommend it. It's changing my skin for the better. Tallow=gamechanger!
Party on Fern E-Book Available Soon!
I'm also really excited to announce that I've been working on an E-book about party planning for children's birthday parties! It's a guide/workbook to help you cover all your bases and take the stress out of planning events and DIY celebrations for your children. I'll keep everyone posted!
Until next time!
